Neck Lift
While a facelift and neck lift procedure are often combined, some patients have concerns primarily with neck skin laxity or vertical banding in the neck. If there is minimal laxity in the lower face and no jowling, a neck lift alone may be the most appropriate choice. The incisions for a neck lift are placed behind and around the inferior aspect of the ear, and sometimes under the chin. Unlike a facelift, the incisions do not extend higher than the midpoint of the anterior ear. If there are no concerns with the lower face, limiting unnecessary incisions while still treating the neck can be beneficial.
